| Tiivistelmä: | Due to the absence of a generally acknowledged theory of transformation to date, it is extremely difficult to analyze the impacts of transformation processes in central and east European countries. It is especially the phenomena of mass and long-term unemployment that present serious problems. The authors of the paper deal with these issues, support their statements on the impacts with data and explain causes of these phenomena. The authors identify common features of the transformation process in the countries mentioned. |
