| Tiivistelmä: | The article demonstrates on the example of art theorist Bobrinskij and ethnologist Hocart how the methods of linguistics (in case of the first etymology, in that of the second equivalence building) can be fruitfully applied in other social sciences. The evolution of representative signs into syntactic symbol signs is pursued. |
