Tiivistelmä:The architectural monuments of Buddhist art are analysed from an iconographic perspective. The different sections of the main triangle. The objects connected with the individual sections (gods, men, animals). Spacial and temporal structures of the world. Life and death, heaven, earth and underground. Trees, columns. The conjecture is made that the root of day and life on one hand and of night an death on the other are the same in IndoEuropean languages because of their belonging together in the Buddhist triangle.
