| Tiivistelmä: | A cognitive categorization model of inter-cultural management is developed. The model focuses on interaction between an expatriate manager and a host country subordinate. An attempt is made to fill a gap in cross-cultural management research and theory in relation to the cultural background of individual behaviour and interpersonal relations. The convergence of cognitive structures through inter-cultural dynamics is examined. Some practical implications of the model for the selection and training of expatriate managers are discussed. |
