| Tiivistelmä: | While various theories of international regional economic integration explain the reasons of the phenomena of regional economic integration, they usually only compare the advantages and disadvantages of economic integration, trade protectionism and free trade, but neglect the analysis and comparison of the disadvantages and advantages of unilateral tariff reduction. In fact, under the situation of brisk trade, unilateral tariff reduction is superior to economic integration policy because it can avoid the trade transfer. Why does every country reject unilateral tariff reduction while choose the economic integration policy? How to determine the foundation, rationality and direction? This article conducts a primary exploration on the fore-mentioned questions on the basis of the advantages and disadvantages of the two policies. |
