| Tiivistelmä: | There is a demand of translating polluting emissions (here as: poll-emss.) into monetary (as: mon-y.) units. Poll-emss. are expressed in mon-y. terms by determination of the marginal unit reduction cost at the emission target level, providing shadow prices (as: shw-prcs.) for emissions. It is argued that ,..., shw-prcs. derived by this method are to be preferred to shw-prcs. derived by other methods for decisions at the project implementation (as: impl-n.) level. By application of the reduction cost approach, cost-effective impl-n. decisions can be made that are also consistent with government policy. |
