| Tiivistelmä: | The author focused on two non-profit organizations as a case study to examine the dynamics of a control process at the boardroom level. This article uses a longitudinal complete member research approach in order to obtain an insider view. Particular attention is paid to directors' control orientation, discourse and decisions. Three boardroom control focus themes, control reporting, director's control orientation and the budgetary control of board, are identified and analyzed. |
