| Tiivistelmä: | Through the real example of a firm, Acade Diagnostic Systems, some of the difficulties and challenges met in the development of a new high-technology business in Belgium are discussed. The main frame of the society is outlined along with the management problems which arise, that is the ideological problems such as the trouble to conciliate the world of research and the academic world, the problems related to financial back up and those related to labour force, including motivation, scarcity of qualified labour in the field of advanced technology etc. Conclusions and further implications are presented, and a positive vision is given on this challenging issue. |
