| Tiivistelmä: | This paper deals with the expropriation (hereafter as: exprpn.) of a foreign investor by a local partner and the subsequent resolution of the case through international arbitration in favour of the investor. A clinical examination of an exprpn. with its aftermath illustrates the interaction of property and contract rights in a global setting, e.g. related with corporate control, and related with multinational firm's advantages to local firms. |
