Tiivistelmä:The author, a senior partner of a world-wide management consulting firm, writes about international management in five key countries - the U.S., Japan, the U.K., West Germany and Canada. The aim is to develop Canadian industrial international management perspective. The writers contributing to the final article wanted to highlight some serious deficiences in their thought processes. For example there are the insularity, hesitancy about business potential in the U.S., misapprehension of the future potential in the Asian-Pacific Basin, and a somewhat hazy knowledge of Britain's "Thatcher Revolution" and of the so called "German Miracle". For Canada, free trade with the United States is the only assurance of continued and necessary access to a large market.
