| Tiivistelmä: | Decisions about which PCs to invest in, whether to buy or lease, how to depreciate, and what to do with older machines have been increasingly important to corporate investment strategies. These problems are discussed through the examples of some companies. In many companies, PCs represent the largest information technology asset, and some companies warehouse old PCs until a request for them comes along. PC investment strategies of Kodak, of Weyerhaeuser Co., of Continental Corp. and of Mass Mutual Life Insurance Inc. are discussed. |
