| Tiivistelmä: | The relations to suppliers have to be managed efficiently with respect to transaction cost-relevant characteristics of the supplied goods. Empirical tests should verify our theoretically derived hypotheses at an enterprise in the automotive industry. Several aspects in which theory and practice differ were identified. The present development of transaction cost theory can only suggest the general direction of changes in supplier relations. This leads to the conclusion that exchange between theoretical research and entrepreneurial practice has to be enhanced for mutual improvements. |
