| Tiivistelmä: | There was a turn in American culture in the 1960s. The author examines these changes by analysing the youth-based television programmes of that time. She finds that while in the cultural sphere certain significant alterations could be observed, the hegemonic authority and the economic basis of the social order remained unchanged. Basic changes wanted by the rebels did not take place. |
