Tiivistelmä:Because of the rapid growth in the number of single Americans, a great variety of mediated channels for mate seeking, including videotapes, print ads , computer networks, and human third parties, has developed. The success and failure of these marriage market intermediaries (MMIs) are explored. It is also analyzed how these channels affect singles' understanding of their romantic relationships.
