| Tiivistelmä: | Since reform and opening up, China's cotton production has experienced rapid growth--stagnation and fluctuation continuous drop in production. In recent years, as China's cotton output continues to decrease, cotton is in badly short supply and needs to be imported, which makes China a major country importing cotton once again. This paper raises the following countermeasures for promoting the increasing of production: protecting conscientiously the interests of cotton growers by formulating the scientific and dynamic price parities between grain and cotton, popularizing the method of planting cotton scientifically, establishing the systems of cotton market, cotton storage and information concerning cotton-producing and marketing. |
