| Tiivistelmä: | This paper explores a specific aspect of the resource-based view, intellectual capital, and its three knowledge components - human, organizational and social capital. The hypothesis is that the effect of each component on financial performance depends on the values of the other components, and that these leveraging impacts are themselves dependent on the industry conditions. Evidence is found by using line-of-business survey and FDIC data from two non-competing resource niches of the banking industry. |
