| Tiivistelmä: | In this paper, the author studies quantitatively the system of export incentives in Turkey. Abstaining from considering exchange rate policy, the author investigates in what way the credit policy and fiscal incentives have affected the structure of nominal and effective subsidy rates. The paper analyzes the determination of sectoral export subsidy rates under each of the various export incentive measures. The characteristics of inter-industry distribution of export subsidies are also presented. Some policy recommendations of rationalizing the subsidy system are given. |
