Tiivistelmä:Trade missions are an export marketing tool widely available through governmental export promotion programs. Despite their potentially useful role in a firm's foreign market entry, trade missions are not widely researched. In contrast with other export promotion efforts, trade missions are smaller scale activities, move across markets and thus are less visible than, for example, trade fairs. Both the normative role and the empirical evidence of trade missions in the exporting process are analysed.
