| Tiivistelmä: | With a computer application, the best efficiency is obtained when the chief-analyst/designer can deploy methods and aids which he or she masters the best. It is shown how the user's needs can be specified. The evolution of the commercial systems are reviewed. The basis-hardware of commercial computers is defined. Some aspects of the basis-software are examined. A few important characteristics of expert systems or knowledge-base-systems are described and analyzed. The Logical Data Language is presented. The concepts of Entity Relationship Diagram and Data Flow Diagram are outlined. Some other diagrams are also introduced. The method of object-oriented software development is explained. |
