| Tiivistelmä: | Some new advances in the field of electronic data processing are briefly reviewed. The CIM concept is reconsidered. The role of CIM-management is characterized. The processes of CIM-planning and CIM-implementation are described. The CIM-mapping-method is outlined. A CIM-model of industrial production is presented as an aid to the planning and development. The integration potential of the CIM-mapping-method is demonstrated. Some guidelines for the application of this method are provided. |
