| Tiivistelmä: | The impact of Transborder Data Flow (TDF) regulations on the strategy and operations of USA multinational corporations (MNCs) is investigated. This study is based on the information processing perspective of organizational design. Results indicate that the TDF restrictions have a moderate impact on MNC decision making. It is confirmed that economic barriers are the most important TDF restrictions by MNCs and that service and manufacturing firms were equally affected by TDF restrictions. Research methodology was based on a cross-sectional questionnaire survey. Policy implications are considered. Some areas of future research are specified. |
