| Tiivistelmä: | Following international development, German hospitals will be financed by a complete system of diagnosis/treatment- oriented all inclusive prices in the near future. This calls for a reorientation of hospital management. If guided by economic and quality of care principles alike it will result in interhospital cooperation with specialization. This is shown by means of scenario computations using the power of Linear Programming optimization. The computations also show that cooperation is accompanied by considerable financial savings. There are still savings even if some of the hospi- tals must be compensated for joining in a cooperation. The amounts of such side payments are computed as elements of a Shapley-Value vector. |
