| Tiivistelmä: | External health-care industry benchmarks are difficult comparison points because hospitals aggregate costs differently. In addition to relying on external benchmarks, hospitals should also develop and implement internal benchmarks. Applying a combination of internal and external benchmarks allows the organization to target key areas for improvement, and enables both clinical and accounting information to be used more effectively. |
