| Tiivistelmä: | The financing of hospitals is based at present in the FRG on a linear cost model with two type of costs: fixed and variable (dependent on capacity utilisation) costs. The author suggests a refined model which discriminates between two types of variable cost, namely number of case dependent and duration and treatment dependent costs. Numerical examples of how to use the model are given. |
