| Tiivistelmä: | PTA is mainly used to produce polyester resin. In recent 20 years, polyester's production and application have developed rapidly at an astonishing speed for its property of becoming fibres and many uses. China only has a productive capacity of approx. 1 million tons in 1996 and so needs to import 0.2 million tons of PTA. But in 2000, the total installed capacity of PTA will reach 2.486 million tons, while its demand is at about 2 million tons. At that time, China will have the capacity of export with a certain scale. |
