| Tiivistelmä: | Scott Bader Company Limited is a private industrial chemical company with a radical different approach to ownership and management. In 1951 the ownership was transferred to the Commonwealth in such a way as to create an organization which operates for the common good of all who work for it and the benefit of the community. The principles on which it was founded is described. In commercial terms the Commonwealth approach is only one of many possible paths to success,though it is suggested that it is also a particularly effective one. Some tangible influences which the Commonwealth has had on the progress of the company are also detailed. |
