| Tiivistelmä: | Research into direct foreign investments of German firms is sparse as yet. The present article analyses from this respect the upstart period of German chemical industry. Geographic breakdown of number and value of FDI is given, the motives of FDI, the share of German ownership, technology transfer coupled to FDI, FDI's export substituting effect etc., all broken down into subbranches of chemical industry. |
