| Tiivistelmä: | APL represents an innovation in the evaluation of management education and development. As part of the competence approach to management qualifications, APL promises way of recognising managers for the learning they have acquired in their work without necessarily having to study for and obtain formal qualifications. The article describes a study of companies within the East Midlands region of the UK and asks the question, to what extent is APL actually being used. |
