Tiivistelmä:In Germany both the Catholic and the Protestant Churches are threatened by a declining number of members and contributions. Due to this background the basics of current marketing achievements are discussed concerning the contents, the institutions and the instruments of marketing for churches. The article starts with an outlining of the historical development and ends with a quick glance on perspectives for further research.
