| Tiivistelmä: | In 1990 Ramasesh recasted the traditional EOQ model into JIT purchasing concepts. The ultimate form should minimize the total cost through the implementation of frequent deliveries in small lots based on a buyer/vendor long-term agreement. Baker, Chang, and Chang (1994) argued that Ramasesh's model did not necessarily provide the ultimate form of JIT purchasing. This argument, however, has a very interesting implication as is shown in this article. |
