| Tiivistelmä: | Despite the discussion about the introduction and timing of the European Monetary Union (EMU) all groups like consumers, business investors, banks and in particular companies - are forced to anticipate the consequences of the impending EMU. The first part of this paper presents an overview on the existing legal and political framework of EMU, which is an essential prerequisite for further considerations. The introduction of the Euro is a complex as well as a multidimensional problem with far reaching consequenses and it affects all corporate functions. The following essay illustrates the approach and analytical procedure for introducing the Euro in an international company using Siemens as an example. |
