| Tiivistelmä: | The article offers some preliminary ideas on the relationship between consumer protection and innovation and considers the potential effect of the main EU consumer law directives on this relationship. Recent national and European level consumer policy initiatives have emphasised the need to ensure that consumer law not only protects consumers, but also encourages competition and supports innovation. |
