| Tiivistelmä: | Thorn Lighting company have launced a programme called Partners in Change which involved off-site learning workshops for groups that included trade union representatives from the main site , local full-time union officials and senior company managers. The workshops initially placed emphasis on change, TQM , employability, flexibility, trust and "win-win" negotiations. The sessions have continued annually with some remarkable successes. Team-building should not be simply an internal process; it should also involve the community. By equipping young people with the skills required for life in the year 2000 and incorporating them into the curriculum, the seeds have been sown to bring about a sustained and meaningful change. |
