| Tiivistelmä: | The planning scale used in this paper is defined by the autonomous communities that form the Spanish state. Therefore, a politico-administrative approach to the concept of region is put forward: the a priori tourist region according to Smith's definition (1989). Consequently, the region analyzed as a territorial decision and management level in which planning processes develop. |
