| Tiivistelmä: | This paper examines the discourse produced by an elite group of corporate executives to legitimate total quality management (TQM) at the national level in Turkey (here as: T). It is found that the legitimating agencies mostly used ethos justifications (as: e-justs.) exploiting the macro-cultural discourses prevalent in the T. context. It is proposed that reconstruction of imported practices is more likely to involve e-justs. when compared to the construction of the original rhetoric because of the nature of cross-national translation. |
