Tiivistelmä:This article investigates the relation btw. knowledge management (or KM) and decision-making (here as: d-m.) process. This research tries to link how KM influences decisions influencing firm's strategic position. Based on a qualitative research developed with 92 firms over the last four years, it is studied and classified how firms implement KM (here named as knowledge management strategies (KMS) and their impacts on the different phases of the d-m. process. For the second stage 14 d-m. processes are analyzed. The model based on the Simon's works is built on three phases: intelligence, conception, and selection. Knowledge's transformations are decsribed over this model and the role of each KMS in each phase. This paper demonstrates that knowledge types as well as KMS have different roles regarding the phase of the process.
