| Tiivistelmä: | This article examines the role of industry in ecosystem management. The authors study the motive of companies in the timber industry to collaborate in ecosystem management projects. The results indicate that the motivations include desires to decrease governmental regulations, collect data, develop relationships and improve current practises. Many companies also feel that participation has a positive financial impact because of corporate public relations. |
