| Tiivistelmä: | This study of nascent entrepreneurship used data from the German Socioeconomic Panel (SOEP) and data from the German Social Insurance Statistics. The findings suggest that local entrepreneurial environment influence to the individuals decision to become self-employed especially at the beginning of the decision making process. Also work and previous self-employment experience are more important than formal education for the likelihood to begin a new business. |
