| Tiivistelmä: | The paper assesses the effectiveness of methods of of financial control for public-sector housing projects in Singapore, and private-sector commercial development in the Asia Pacific region. The author argues that the need in Singapore is to recognize the role of project managers in financial control. Whether in public- or private-sector systems, financial control will remain the responsibility of specialists. These specialists will only make an effective contribution if they are able to operate effectively within the project team. The organizational and behavioural success factors of the effective project team work are described. |
