Tiivistelmä:Some of the work and performance implications of computer-aided design /CAD/ are identified. CAD leads to job designs and work group structures that further improve the performance of designers and drafters. The results of the research indicate that CAD's benefit linked to the characteristics of the dominant technology, job design, and work group. The success of CAD depends on how well the concomitant changes in the work place are managed.
