| Tiivistelmä: | The authors used confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) to test the explanatory power of the two a priori factor structures found by Gordon et al. to represent union commitment. They modified Gordon et al.'s solution and suggest that the use of either a four factor solution or commitment as a unidimensional construct may be justified, depending on the research focus. Finally they found that unit weighting of the union commitment items was the most appropriate strategy for generating composites. |
