| Tiivistelmä: | Some theories of control are briefly reviewed (theory of financial capital, theory of family control, theory of collusion, theory of managerial control, theory of cohesion). The results of an empirical investigation (1976) on the human relations and financial relations among the firms of a sample taken from ten countries are described and analyzed. Then the results of a similar study of the top 500 firms being active in France are summarized. Almost two thousand different connections were identified and grouped. Some intensity measures were determined and computed. Based upon graph representations of the human and financial links a number of interesting observations are made. |
