Tiivistelmä:There has recently been an increased interest in business ethics worldwide. With the help of case studies, aspects of business ethics are discussed: its realistic use in management and how it can help to raise standards of performance and conduct in the workplace. In short, what business ethics can do for the bottom line depends on what is expected of it, and on whether the expectations are realistic. The cash benefits of an ethics or value programme are by no means the only important ones. Non-cash benefits include motives of power, control, growth, prestige and many other matters that can conflict seriously with profitability. The dimensions for enterprise's value programmes are shown.
