Market capitalization now stands at just over 14 billion Irish pounds. After the public finances were brought under control in 1987 and 1988 and financial and economic convergence occurred in the ERM economies, Irish yield spreads over EU markets fell sharply and overseas investors built up considerable holdings of Irish bonds. |
