Tiivistelmä:The Irish export industry has identified the environment as a factor in boosting its overseas sales performance by promoting Ireland as a green European centre of quality products and services. In a survey commissioned by The Irish Trade Board, British industrial buyers placed Ireland in fourth place among EU countries in terms of a positive environmental image; German buyers placed Ireland second - after Germany itself. A parallel study among retail buyers and consumers indicated that Ireland's claim to be a source of green products could have market advantages, but that the claim must be backed up by evidence of a genuine environmental commitment.
