| Tiivistelmä: | The FTSE4Good indices are comprised of firms from various locations who satisfy the pre-determined social responsibility criteria. Analyzing the financial performance of the FTSE4Good indices, the authors show that these indices did better than their benchmarks in 1996-2005 granted that most of the outperformance was caused by risk differences between the FTSE4Good indices and their benchmarks. The findings suggest that investing in a portfolio of companies listed in FTSE4Good indices do not lead to worse outcome than investing in their counterparts outside the FTSE4Good indices. |
