| Tiivistelmä: | The study gives an insight into possible ways of performing break-even analyses for a single-stage, make- to-order production in the case of stochastic production and demand structures. To model these structures, use is made queueing systems. In practice GI/G/1-systems show themselves able to map complex real situations realistically. From the examples discussed it can be concluded that different results are achieved compared with deterministic modeling, even in the case of a simple stochastic approach. In particular, it is shown that stochastic modeling in general is helpful in avoiding incorrect decisions. Furthermore, it is shown that break- even analyses must always be performed taking into account an existing planning system (original in German). |
