| Tiivistelmä: | The author analyses the point of departure for the CSFR, comparing it with Poland and Hungary and investigates into the 1991 reforms. Economic developments, foreign trade, money and credit as well as privatization are described. It is shown in the study that the shift towards the private sector is only just getting under way, and yet the first quarter of 1992 seems to indicate that a degree of economic stability has been achieved. One problem which might well prove a significant obstacle to the process of restructuring is the tension between the Czechs and Slovaks. |
