Tiivistelmä: | Most comparative management studies of North American and Japanese managers have compared American and Japanese work-related values and attitudes. This study compared representative samples of Canadian, American and Japanese management students and found significant cognitive process preference differences using MANOVA. The Canadians were more theoretical and imaginative problem solvers than the Americans or the Japanese. The Japanese were slower decision makers than the Canadians and Americans, but the Canadians were slower than the Americans. The results also indicate that Canadian and American managers cannot be considered interchangeable in future studies of North American culture. |
