| Tiivistelmä: | This article investigates the effects of work-life balance which is an essential object in EU gender equality framework. This study presents, how EU directives concerning leave arrangements have affected the national legislation in UK, Denmark, France, and Spain. It is found that all of those countries meet the requirements of the directives regulating maternity and parental leave arrangements. However, the duration and payment varies accross the four countries examined. |
